Division Schedule Begins

Delhi heads down to Bainbridge on Friday night to face the Bobcats of Bainbridge Guilford High School. BG comes into the game with an impressive 3-0 record, having outscored the opposition 83-8, but all 3 have been weak teams, with a combined record of 0-9. BG features a strong running game led by Chad Cornish and Willie McGinnis, who have combined for 636 yards. McGinnis scored 5 TD’s in last week’s game against Hancock. BG’s defense has been very strong as well, having posted shutouts in the first 2 weeks, and having allowed only a late game TD to Hancock on a long pass.

Delhi hasn’t played BG since 2001 (when they were merged with Afton), when Delhi won 23-13 on the way to a state championship season.

This will be Delhi’s first game in Division VII, as the ‘Dogs seek their first division title since 1995.
